Gaining planning permission for rural development is fraught with difficulties. One key to this is rural sustainability.
Chapter 7: The Planning Office of ‘The Land is Ours’ have produced a number of documents to help with this. Here is a copy of one of the key ones. Defining Rural Sustainability. (Long Word document 32 pages)
Included in this document are the following Fifteen Criteria for Sustainable Developments in the Countryside (One page Word document) These criteria closely relate to the vision we have evolved over the last 6 months.
Also included are model planning policies for presentation to council planners, excerpts of which can be used in presenting a case.
